Waves - Michal Rinott Selected Works

Waves is a world leading company in psychoacoustic tools and audio plugins. I did the interaction design for a new Waves product: iAmp, an entry-level multi-effects processor for guitar. iAMP is a mobile, personal effects device that can integrate with the iPod music player.
The design research involved user studies and an in-depth study of the iPod eco-system and the electric guitar world. Following this a collection of concepts was generated.
The final design stresses simplicity and analog feel. It was acheived in collaboration with an industrial designer (Alex Padwa). The iAmp is currently in manufacturing and will be in the market in 2008.
