Biopad
is a start-up company developing an innovative home-use medical device
for pregnant women. I joined the company at an early stage - it's 7th
employee - and have been responsible from the start for the planning,
research and design of the user experience and interaction.
The process involved various research methods aimed at understandin the experience of fetal movements and prototoyping different ways to provide feedback in real time to data collected by the device. I worked with a product designer to integrate functional, aesthetic and psychological considerations into the final design.
I hold a patent for the design of this product.
